Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education grounded in the

Gospel, fostering real and respectful relationships within a safe and structured environment. Through the principles of a Charlotte Mason education, Ambleside staff seeks to nurture a lifelong love of learning, develop self-discipline and accountability, and equip students to grow in wisdom, character, and faithful stewardship of knowledge.

Our vision is to aim hearts and minds toward Christ- raising learners grounded in truth, wisdom, and character.

Our philosophy

Charlotte Mason’s education is characterized by “living books” rather than textbooks. This means our philosophy of education includes nature studies and outdoor observations, narration (oral and written), shorter lessons, life skills, and a deep appreciation for the arts and music.

Located in Kinston, North Carolina, we are a K-12, homeschool-hybrid, private Christian school serving students in Eastern North Carolina.
